In partnership with the UNDP, the Trinidad & Tobago Association of Locl Government Authorities (TTALGA), CCoTT had launched a Social Inclusion and Environmental initiative project which aims to educate and raise awareness with innovative gender environmental messaging using benches from un-cycled plastic and placed throughout Trinidad & Tobago. This initiative will simultaneously address the prevalence of plastic waste which is harmful to the environment and the scourge of violence.

With messages against Violence Against Women, Girls and Children, the Regional Corporations will identify suitable spaces in order to install these benches. They will also have appropriate messaging that includes useful information like a hotline.

One of the many installations exercises was completed in the San Juan/Laventille regional (a frequently used space) and at the Aranjuez Savannah.
